Sample of scores for single point value and double point value. If the player scored 18 points for spelling the word levy but gives an incorrect definition then the player loses that 18-point value. Alternately, the player can choose to give only the correct spelling and keep those points.

note:  remember that many words have more than one definition and only one is requested.  The strategy here is that the player can choose to give one of the lesser known definitions .
